Is anyone surprised? Does anyone believe that this is unique to Hattiesburg, Ms.?

White people all over the country scream "RACE CARD" whenever a black person speaks out against discrimination. And as soon as they "find" a reason, they scream discrimination, too. The United States is one of the most racist countries in the world. Having a "black" president only stoked the fires of racism, and made it "OK" to speak demeaningly of African American, Hispanic, or Middle-Eastern persons. This is the reality of life as a non-white human inAmerica.

The individual(s) or supervisor(s) who believe it is proper and acceptable to refer to black men or any employee or citizen as a "monkey" should be immediately reprimanded and educated on the "error" of his/her thinking. It is my believe that the reprimand and education should be either 1) In the form of being sent home without pay for a week or two followed up with a probationary period including a written warning that a repeat of the same or similar behavior and actions will result in immediate dismissal or a "pink slip" if the individual(s) involved are not willing to offer true and sincere apologies and permanently change their actions and words towards the men they supervise. Hattiesburg should not tolerate such ignorance, disrespect and mistreatment of any of its employees no matter what their place on the Organizational Chart.
